Abstract: A rigid body, with regular figure, was usually used as the centroid standard in the application of centriod measurement and calibration. But recent researches on the centroid standard found that the value of a rigid body′s centroid is often uncertain, which means expecting value of centroid is unequal to real value because of some reasons and might cause serious errors in the centroid measurement. So a new centroid standard without regular figure was developed to calibrate the special equipment. According to comparing results, it′s clear that the new standard′s centroid outgoes the regular figure′s one.
