We introduce a method for 50 GHz comb generator calibration using Agilent 86100C sampling oscilloscope. The 70 GHz sampling head measures the output time-domain signal of the comb generator. Then we correct the signal for time base error, including time base distortion, jitter and drift. By transforming the time-domain signal into frequency-domain, we obtain the amplitude and phase spectrum. Then we acquire the calibration data we need. We also determine the uncertainties of the amplitude and the phase, which are less than 0.5 dB and 0.9° respectively.

This paper studies the influence of signal power on the phase measurement in high power microwave. Presents phase delay characteristic measurement of the phase delay characteristics under different excitation power states from mW to kW power level. Measuring system consists of high-power-microwave pulse source, directional couplers groups. Attenuators which are widely used in high-power-microwave phase measurement system were measured. Measurement results show that in 1kW power range, phase delay of those typical devices varies within ±2°, the phase delay characteristics can be considered with no changes for the different excitation power.

Group delay is one of the key performance specification in frequency converter link. Group delay calibration method of satellite RF test system’s frequency converter link is studied in this paper. Satellite RF test system is the important part of Satellite Ground Test Equipment. Its group delay of frequency converter link has important significance for the test of Satellite Ranging and the quality of signal transmission. From the definition of group delay, this paper discussed the test theory and method of group delay and presented the modulation method based on software defined radio technology to measure the group delay. This method is suitable for the precise measurement of frequency converter link that can’t accept other local oscillator. The formula of the modulation method is deduced in detail and the calibrating device is founded in this paper. The result of experiment demonstrate that the modulation method has more precision to measure the group delay.

In order to increase the accuracy of frequency calculation for the density sensor based on the resonance theory, interpolated Fast Fourier Transform algorithm (FFT) algorithm which is based on the existing FFT and more adjusts the actual situation is introduced. The effect of frequency changes and the noise on results of frequency calculation is also analyzed. Comparative analysis for the commonly used windows is made through Matlab, and Rife_Vincent window is chosen finally. In addition, experiments have been carried out on the hardware system designed. The experimental results confirm that the calculation error is less than 0.1 Hz by means of the interpolated FFT algorithm with Rife_Vincent window. The results also test and verify that the method has very high accuracy and is easy to realize.

CPT atomic clock is widely used in communications, navigation, data transmission and many other fields for its small volume, low power and other advantages. In this paper, we design a microwave signal source with a central frequency of 4596 MHz in accordance with the requirement to microvave signal by the passive CPT Cs atomic clock through digital PLL technology. The signal source with circuit area of 30mm ×50mm and power less than 200 mW has a RF output power range of (-20~-5)dBm, and its output signal’s phase noise is consistent with the theory. Modulated ant a rate of 500 Hz, the signal source can meet the CPT Cs atomic clock’s requirement.

Through the analysis of the current testing techniques and construct test platform by using generic equipment and achieve metrological verification of the frequency agile signal source. The system adopted two difference frequency to form intermediate frequency difference detection method to guarantee the precision of instantaneous frequency measure. But the system put forward the innovative single pulse draught frequency excitation test technology, which use the general test instrument to achieve the frequency agile parameter test and it pushes frequency agility measurement technology round to the engineering application stage for the first time, which can avoid the measurement system itself second times measurement problem.

It is comparison among remote clocks that is a necessary condition of establishing joint atomic timescale using atomic clocks in different laboratories, so the noise level of high precision time transfer technology, which is used to compare among remote clocks, becomes one of the main factors influencing the performance of atomic timescale. This paper mainly studied the low-pass filtering method based on empirical mode decomposition, and its application for de-noising of the remote clocks comparing data. And it is made to compare this method with Vondrak smoothing one. The results indicate that the lowpass filter results based on the empirical mode decomposition is better than Vondrak smooth ones.

By analyzing the affection on atomic clock stability, the demanding for the frequency multiplier has been offered. In comparison with several typical configurations, a novel frequency multiplier scheme consisting of synthesizer, orthogonal mixer and DDS has been designed. Guided by the design, the first prototype fabricated with individual components has been completed; the frequency stability is 4.7E-12/s after locking, and this design can be qualified for atomic clock. Basing on the design scheme, the special 3.4 GHz ASIC has been fabricated, and the chipscale atomic clock incorporated the ASIC arrived to 5.5E-11/s, which proves that the ASIC can satisfy the design requirements of chipscale atomic clock.

A new method for phase difference measurement based on time comb technology is introduced in this paper. The math model of time comb is given, and its characteristic is analyzed. The principle is used in data acquisition of high frequency. Equivalent sampling technology is abstained from low frequency and measured signal, avoiding high sampling frequency and combined with multilayer correlation technology. Then phase difference is detected when the Nyquist sampling theorem is not satisfied. Simulation results show that the high resolution for high frequency signals especially in low signal-noise ratio condition. It can be widely used in engineering.

This paper proposes a new method to solve the target detecting and tracking problem in middle trajectory of ballistic missile. The state formula and measure formula of the target in the middle trajectory are established by applying the Kalman filter to filter and forecast the target detecting data based on serial infrared images. It is difficult to determine the self-covariance matrix of the system noise and measure noise in the Kalman filter. To solve this problem, the parameters setting method of Kalman filter are studied and the filter parameters setting rules are gained by test the different noise parameters condition using the real experiment testing results. This rule can be applied to detect and track the targets in middle trajectory of ballistic missile and provide reference for the target detecting and tracking technology.

At present, our digital torque wrench based on the capacitive technology is widely used in aerospace, steel, ships, railways and other areas. They have strict requirements for data measurement, data storage. However, the tradition wired data transmission will bring a great measure environment restriction. Which includes transmission distance shorting, the complexity of wiring. Further, the limited data interface of the computer, it is not convenient for transferring large amounts of data due to limited computer transmission interface. This paper designed a wireless communication module by using a lowpower chip, through which currently digital torque wrench communication. This will bring great convenience for the client application, adapt to different environments, and princely performance and market competitiveness. Moreover, the data of multi-device can be achieved simultaneously display to the computer. The product has been tested and verified to achieve the desired effect.
