Study of Pulse Modulation Signal Power Calibration based on Spectrum Analyzer

Abstract: Pulse modulation signal is an important signal in radar and digital communication system. The power measurement of pulse modulation signal is studied in this paper. This paper discussed and analyzed the spectrum characteristic of pulse modulation signal and proposed to measure the mean power and the peak power of pulse modulation signal with the spectrum analyzer. The sine amplitude modulation method is used to verify the power measurement result of the spectrum analyzer. The result of experiment demonstrates that power measurement on pulse modulation signal with spectrum analyzer is simple and feasible and has more precision to measure the power.
