Abstract: Finite element simulation was conducted to investigate the influence of the mass of the pickup on the instrument. The results indicate that an increase in the mass of the pickup will lead to a decrease in the resonance frequency of the measuring tube, and uneven mass distribution of the pickup will cause changes in the resonance frequency of the measuring tube.In order to reduce the impact of the pickup mass on the measuring tube,a capacitive sensor composed of epoxy-covered copper plates was designed as the pickup to achieve lightweight attachment,non-contact,and wide-band vibration sensing, and finite element analysis and experiments were conducted. The results show that lightweight capacitive pickups can increase the resonance frequency of the measuring tube, enhance the ability to suppress zero drift, and can respond to changes in the lower mass flow rate of the fluid more quickly and stably, providing a feasible technical solution for the production and research of Coriolis mass flowmeters.
