Abstract: In order to overcome the shortcomings of the traditional inductor detection methods, a new digital inductor detection method proposed, based on the principle of eddy current using advanced digital inductive transformer as sensor,through Printed Circuit Board(PCB) inductor to detect metal is detected.Transfered the detection results data to digital, used an Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) connecting to an Advanced RISC Machines ortex-M4 in order to implement high-speed,high-sensitivity metal detection.The test results show that the device overcame the shortcomings of the traditional inductor detection which had poor performances of anti-interference, analogy interface,less accurate etc. It fulfilled high-speed, high reliable data transmission, at the same time it made measurement accuracy up to sub-micron precision. Inductive sensing equipment had many applications such as precise measurement of distance,angle,motion displacement and compression.
