UAV Deployment Algorithm in UAV-aided VANET

Abstract: Aiming at deployment problem of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) in UAV-assisted Vehicle-to-everything(V2X),energy-efficient deployment of UAV considering latency and backhaul is analyzed in this paper.To minimize the total power consumption is the goal of deployment mechanism considering the latency in the V2X network and backhaul link problem.First,we derive the latency constraint as an individual data rate constraint for V2X network and backhaul link capacity as a function of distance between UAV and the ground base station.The objective function is constructed based on delay and backhaul link capacity.Finally,the objective function is solved by sequential quadratic programming(SQP).In the numerical results,it is stated that communication packet size is an essential parameter.It is also observed that as the delay constraint tightens and the average packet size increases,the sum of the data rates of vehicle users converges to the backhaul link capacity.
