Study on Engineering Design Method of Aerostatic Pressure Gas Bearing

Abstract: Aerostatic pressure gas bearing is the key component of the rotary support shaft system of the inertial device test platform, its bearing capacity and rotation accuracy have an important effect on the test accuracy of the  inertial devices.In order to improve the design efficiency and simplify the design method, under the condition of satisfying the performance of aerostatic bearing, the engineering design formula of aerostatic bearing is deduced. Bidirectional aerostatic bearing is designed. The bearing capacity, stiffness, air consumption and friction torque of the bearing are calculated, and the simulation results are compared with the finite element simulation results. The effectiveness of the design method is verified.
