Abstract: Instruments for dosimetry in space radiation environment are introduced briefly. Passive detectors mentioned include luminescent, tracketch, nuclear emulsion, metal foil detectors, bubble detectors and MOSFET dosimeters. Active detectors include silicon semiconductor mainly Liulin-4, silicon telescope including DOSTEL, RRMD,Liulin-5 and CPDS, gas filled detectors including TEPC and R-16 ion chamber, neutron spectrometry including bonner ball spectrometry and phoswich spectrometry. Various instruments and methods are complementary and provide reliable data for space radiation dosimetry.
